Proper Party EtiquetteShe mixed a bottle of rat poison into the birthday cake. Thick globs of chocolate icing concealed the taste and all the children had seconds with ice cream drenched with strawberry syrup and industrial strength drain cleaner. She needled each adult into a piece of their own, leftovers for the rest of the family back home. Games were played, present were opened, more cake was eaten. Not a slice was left by the time noses started to run, blood as red as the decorative icing roses. Panic followed, so many bleeding nostrils and crying children and frightened, jittering parents in one room.Proper Party Etiquette
